What's Included In A Spring Cleanup?
The Start Of The Growing Season
Spring Cleanups are one of the most popular service offerings within our Maintenance Packages. There are many reasons to check this task off the list and while a spring cleaning might sound tempting to try and tackle on your own, many aspects of this work may demand more time, energy, and experience than you have available. Lawns and garden beds need attention to prepare them for the growing season. Shrubs and trees need to be trimmed to help maintain a tidy appearance and help flowering shrubs bloom. The list goes on!
Cleaning Up Your Property
Our Spring Cleanup service always begins with the removal of leaves, weeds, twigs, and other debris that accumulates over the winter. As we are cleaning up your property, it gives us the opportunity to get an up-close inspection of the condition of your lawn, garden and flower beds, hardscapes, etc. We will address any issues with you and make sure your property is set up for a strong growing season.
Nutri-Peat Mulch
Applying a layer of Nutri-Peat Mulch not only helps your plant beds look better, but it improves the health of the plants as well. Mulch adds additional organic material to the soil and helps retain moisture for the plants. When mulching, around trees especially, you may need to remove accumulated layers of older mulch because too much excess around and touching the base of the tree can be damaging. Scheduling a spring cleanup is a great start for your landscape, allowing you to enjoy your property’s true value this springtime.
Edging of Planting Beds
At Nurney, we create a deep edge around beds and trees. This is often the difference between an average looking landscape and a professionally maintained property. A deep edge helps define the beds from the turf areas. This makes all the difference in curb appeal. The turf and the beds both look better, and maintenance is easier throughout the season. Services that add curb appeal to your home or property have been shown to increase the value up to 10%.
